3) A traumatic cataract happens when your eye is damaged by a hard blow, intense heat, and chemical usage.
Some medicines, eye problems, and injuries can also invite cataract as well.

The best way to prevent cataract is a regular eye exam. After you cross 65 years the probability of cataract is the greatest. First, consult a doctor, he will guide whether you need surgery or not. An ophthalmologist specially trained in those surgeries can perform cataract operation. The success rate of cataract surgery is very high. Apart from surgeries, your doctor can prescribe glasses and contact lens to correct your vision. You can avoid surgery if the chance of correction is very low or the cataract is minor enough and does not affect your regular lifestyle.
